Hunter Hoffman was born and raised in Miami, Florida where he trained at the Mencia Pikeiris School of Dance and the Miami Youth Ballet. He continued his studies on scholarship receiving his B.F.A. in Dance Performance from Mercyhurst University and where he was exposed to such renowned instructors as Maria Caruso, Tauna Hunter, Richard Chen See, Nilas Martins and Mark and Solveig Santillano. He has appeared in leading roles with Verb Ballets, Lake Erie Ballet, New World Connection, Ballet Concerto and The Mercyhurst Dancers. Hunter’s classical repertoire includes Marius Petipa’s Raymonda Variations, the role of Cavalier in The Nutcracker and appearances as Benvolio in Romeo and Juliet during Verb Ballets Cuban tour where he also had the honor of interfacing with ballet icon Laura Alonso. He has performed in Heinz Poll’s Adagio For Two and Bolero, Richard Dickinson’s KL 3668 and Paganini Variations, Wandering On Stephanie Martinez and Royce Zachary’s Grace. An aspiring choreographer, Hunter presented his newest work Take Me With You as part of Verb Ballets past season.
